Gaillard Center Awarded 2017 Shutze Award

During a ceremony held at the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta, GA, David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. was awarded the 2017 Philip Trammell Shutze Award – Civic Architecture, for our design of the Gaillard Center in Charleston, SC. Presented by the Southeast Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), the awards are named for Atlanta architect Philip Shutze, one of the 20th century’s most revered classicists. The intent of the awards program is to “recognize similar individuals who are contributing to the creation of 21st-century Classical and Traditional architecture and related fields.”

Steve Knight, Associate at David M. Schwarz Architects and Project Manager for the Gaillard Center project accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
