Chevy Chase Lake Wins ULI Award for Excellence

DMSAS is proud to announce that Chevy Chase Lake, commissioned by the Bozzuto Group and Chevy Chase Land Company, has been honored with the 2025 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Washington Award for Excellence in the Mixed-Use Development category. Principals Steve Knight, Michael Swartz, and Josh Arcurio accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

The award recognizes projects that exemplify best practices in real estate development and demonstrate excellence in design, planning, and sustainability. As the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world, ULI honors projects that raise the standard for urban-focused impactful development.

DMSAS completed the first two phases of Chevy Chase Lake in 2024. The three-building 530-unit development includes over 110,000 square feet of community-focused retail. The complex is located on Connecticut Avenue and is organized around a central plaza. An outdoor stair connects the plaza with a station for the under-construction Purple Line.
