DMSAS is designing a new music education and performing arts building for Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Being designed in collaboration with CJMW Architecture, the new Wygal Hall Replacement Building will include approximately 60,720 gross square feet of instructional, administrative and support spaces. The classical brick and stone façade speaks to the University’s historic campus and traditional architecture. The new building’s features will include state-of-the-art music teaching spaces and student learning facilities; flexible, multi-use rehearsal and performance spaces; offices and other academic support spaces; and a 500-seat concert hall that will also support academic, student, university and community events
