Olivia (Liv) DiMattio is an architectural designer. She is originally from Scranton, PA, and moved to DC in 2020 to attend the Catholic University of America, where she earned her B.S. in Architecture in 2024, followed by a dual-degree Master of Architecture and Net Zero Design in 2025.

She is passionate about creating spaces that heal, and has worked primarily in healthcare design for five years.

Liv was the recipient of the 2025 DMSAS Travel Fellowship and traveled to seven cities in the US to study how the design of healthcare facilities varies from region to region. She has applied this experience toward her thesis and further studies, exploring how design can be a tool to improve the experience of both patients and staff in the healthcare environment and even improve healing outcomes. She is excited to be using this knowledge in the service of the Cook Children’s Medical Center project.

In her spare time, Liv can be found singing karaoke, playing piano, building on Minecraft, admiring gothic architecture, cooking Italian food, and traveling by Amtrak.
