Jack Harrington tends toward the construction side of architecture and began to develop a background in historic masonry manufacturing and archaeology on his way to a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. Jack has traveled across Europe studying Gothic stonework and cathedrals, ancient Roman concrete and brick vaulting and the roles these materials play in bettering the quality of life for those involved with the construction and use of masonry buildings. Modern masons inspire his designs, and his experience in bronze and plaster casting have given him a deep appreciation for the minds behind monumental architecture and civic art. After a brief period working in the construction management of concrete services for large-scale commercial and industrial buildings in his home state of Colorado, Jack joined the DMSAS team in the summer of 2023. Outside the firm you’ll find him bagpiping in local cemeteries, practicing martial arts in various studios in the DC area, and looking at bricks.
