Jack Darnell joined DMSAS at the end of January 2022. He completed the 5-year program at the University of Notre Dame to earn his Bachelor of Architecture degree in the spring of 2021. While at Notre Dame, Jack discovered an intense interest in traditional building and theater design, as well as specific passions for Palladian and Baroque architecture. His 5th-year thesis, “New Trinity Theatre,” pulled these strands together in a proposal for a new musical theater building in the heart of Dublin, Ireland. It was this dream of designing beautiful performing arts venues which first led Jack to DMSAS. Before coming to the firm, Jack had the pleasure of gaining crucial Revit and woodworking experience at Brownsmith Studios in Bloomington, Indiana, nearby his hometown of Ellettsville. Beyond architecture, Jack is a massive music nerd and a multi-instrumentalist. He intends someday to design and build his own electric guitar. Jack also loves to travel, especially with friends and family.
