Subsequent to the master plan David M. Schwarz Architects designed for the 65-acre site known as CityPlace, the firm was commissioned to design West Village, a 6.75-acre mixed-use development located adjacent to the City Place property in Dallas’ Uptown District.

West Village includes 178 luxury apartment units and 125,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space. A network of intimately scaled one-way streets organizes the project into five blocks: a central 400’ x 350’ block, bookended by four smaller blocks that establish the project’s four corners. Building heights range from one to four stories with apartments located on the upper levels and retail shops, restaurants, and residential lobbies lining the street level. The buildings are designed in a variety of architectural expressions and varying heights to create a lively and diverse streetscape for the project.
