The Cassidy & the Trust Building is a 6-story, 101,000 gross square feet multi-use building with ground floor retail and four stories of office above. A sixth level, set back from the first five stories, is designed as six, one- and two-bedroom penthouse units that connect to the sixth floor circulation of the adjacent Sanger Lofts. Responding to it’s L-shaped site and location atop the existing Sundance West parking garage, the building is broken horizontally into three unique facades; one takes cues from Chicago architecture incorporating large window bays in a granite, limestone and plaster façade; a second is influenced by Danish architecture from the early part of the 20th Century and incorporates horizontal ribbon windows into a taut brick façade, and a third metal bridge-like façade connects the two masonry facades over the entry to the garage and service dock.
