Mario Dominguez Named Co-Chair for 2017 DCBIA Community Improvement Day

  News

Congratulations to our very own Mario Dominguez, who has been named the Design Lead Co-Chair for the DC Building Industry Association’s (DCBIA) 2017 Community Improvement Day (CID). In this role, Mario will lead and coordinate the design efforts of all design committee volunteers from dozens of firms across the DC area. The group is tasked with designing and implementing a renovation and revitalization of the Benning Terrace Recreation Center.

Mario first became involved with DCBIA in April of 2014, shortly after becoming co-chair of the firm’s Community & Professional Outreach Committee. Mario has since been an active member of the design committee for three Community Improvement Days and leader of the DMSAS teams.

Mario’s term as CID Co-Chair will begin immediately, with the first design charrette scheduled for early May. Meetings with Benning Terrace residents, design team volunteers, general contracting volunteers and other stakeholders will continue regularly through project completion. The 2017 Community Improvement Day event is scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd.
